Swaffham Prior Community Heat Network – Job Vacancy

The Climate Change and Energy Service  at Cambridgeshire County Council is looking to recruit a project manager to work on renewable energy in the community.

Starting with the Swaffham Prior Community Heat Network Project, a first village retrofit in the country decarbonising heating and hotwater for homes, you will initially work with the contractors to get homes connected to the heat network and energy centre that was recently built and manage the performance of the construction contracts. There is a lot of interest in the Swaffham Prior project in government and locally – if we are to achieve Net Zero Cambridgeshire by 2045 all homes  ( 276,000) will need to be retrofitted by 2045   and new heat networks and community energy projects created.

Secondments are welcome and please do give us a ring if you want to talk through the opportunities this role presents.  It is initially for 18 months but community energy is a growing area of work. The Deadline is 31 August 2023
