First Burwell Earth Cafe – “Reducing Carbon Emissions at home by increasing Energy Efficiency and Saving £’s”

This is the FIRST Burwell Earth Cafe. Earth Cafes are friendly informal discussion events – with free tea and coffee – where you share your thoughts, ideas and concerns with others.

As we enter Spring with a mixture of warm and cooler weather it is still important to think and act on ensuring that our homes are heated in the most efficient way to reduce carbon emissions and save money – particularly as Electricity tariffs will be increasing from the 1 April 2025.  This Earth Cafe forms part of the three month East Cambs District wide campaign to “think locally” on ways to reduce carbon emissions as well creating cosy homes for everyone – leaving no-one behind.

We are working with Action on Energy East Cambridgeshire, Community Energy South and East Cambridgeshire District Council. The East Cambridgeshire Climate Action Network is also offering FREE initial Home Energy Advice from January until the end of March 2025 – to home owners, tenants and landlords. We don’t want to leave anyone behind in not having  a cosy energy saving home that also helps to reduce carbon emissions for our planet.
