Coveney Orchard Day

Come and help us to build a bug hotel in the community orchard, Gravel End, Coveney on Sunday 25th August 1-5 pm. Bring a picnic – cider and apple juice will be provided.

Please bring something to put in the bug hotel, such as logs, bark, twigs, bamboo canes, straw, tiles – anything that small creatures can make a nest in. And how about making or bringing a bird feeder to hang in the orchard? Download the instructions here:

You can also join in games and nature-spotting activities. This will be a fun event for all ages (children must be accompanied by a responsible adult).

Coveney Community Orchard on Sunday 25th August (bank holiday weekend). We’re inviting parents and children to bring a picnic and help to build a bug hotel in the orchard. The idea is to encourage enjoyment and understanding of this community space and its biodiversity.

The East Cambridgeshire Action Network will have a stall at this event and we plan to do a Ladybird Survey. Do come and see us.
