Ely Earth Cafe: Reuse, Repair, Recycle – 16 May 2024

An Earth Cafe event, about resources to avoid waste in our area.

It is tempting to think sometimes that everything we own is disposable and replaceable, but everyday items can take a lot of resources and energy to produce. We can’t keep buying new stuff constantly, while throwing our old stuff into landfill sites.

This Earth Cafe will have some short talks from guest speakers Alice Hughes, Ruth Buckley and Susie Gordon about a few local projects that can help to avoid waste and save us money. We will then have some discussions in small groups about the theme and the projects.

The Ely Earth Cafe series is a regular, monthly social event usually on the third Thursday of the month. Organised by East Cambs CAN (eastcambscan.org), hosted by Prosper cafe and funded by East Cambridgeshire District Council.
