In 2018, the first Ely Cathedral Litter Pick took place as part of our response to the growing environmental crisis. This autumn we celebrate its 5th birthday. Despite a brief hiatus due to Covid, volunteers have been meeting on the first Saturday of the month to tidy up the local area for an hour and then have coffee, cake and a chat ever since. We’re trying to make a bit of a fuss of our 5th anniversary as the litter pick was one of the first visible actions we took as part of our environment work.
More volunteers are wanted. So why not come on Saturday 7th October, 8-9am, come and join us for our anniversary litter pick, followed by coffee and birthday cake, of course!
Meet outside the South Door of the Cathedral, just before 8am.
All equipment will be provided.
