Cambridgeshire Open ECO Homes 2023

Cambridge Carbon Footprint has been running Open Eco Homes (OEH) for around 14 years mainly in the Cambridge area, but last year there was one house in Ely and this year there are a number of homes based in South Cambridgeshire district.  OEH find householders who have renovated or built new eco homes and help them to pass on their knowledge to visitors by organising tours in their homes over two days in September. The advice is local, independent and free.

OEH also run multiple workshops around the time of the open tours to help people build their skills and knowledge, as well as thermal imaging workshops in the winter. All the tours and workshops are free – but donations are always welcome and appreciated. Without them OEH couldn’t run the events. Bookings are essential and some houses book out very quickly.
